Animal Health Contract Research Services

Moredun Scientifics’ main business activity is contract research for the animal health industry, concentrating mainly on efficacy and safety studies in livestock in Europe and the USA. All work is completed to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or VICH-GCP (Veterinary Good Clinical Practice), and the data generated is used to support the registration of a wide range of veterinary medicinal products, including vaccines, anti-infectives, and anti-parasitics. We also carry out studies to support the registration of feed additives.

Our staff have access to the Moredun Research Institute’s internationally renowned scientists, thus we are able to offer a unique blend of commercial professionalism and scientific excellence.

We offer clients the complete package for the registration of new veterinary products as well as post-marketing studies. This includes initial regulatory advice and information, design and planning of studies, the in-life phase, the analytical phase and the production of final report.  Our onsite Bioservices Division supply us with quality animals fulfilling the specific criteria requested by the client. The state of the art facilities provide a great deal of flexibility with regard to housing and group sizes, and a variety of different animal species can be housed in comfort at the site.

We have vast experience in conducting a wide range of studies to the appropriate regulatory requirements as requested by our clients. We conduct studies in a wide variety of livestock species including Bovine, Porcine, Equine, Avian and Ovine, as well as small laboratory animals.
