Targeted worm control: save time and money - free farmers meeting in Alnwick
The UK sheep industry is facing an ever-increasing problem of anthelmintic resistance. However there are ways that you can maintain the efficiency of the drugs you use, save money and maximise the production of your sheep.
At this meeting Dr Dave Bartley from Moredun will highlight a few simple steps that will make your worm control strategies cheaper, more effective and less likely to result in a resistant worm problem on your farm. Graeme Reavley, vet to nearby Lilburn Estates, will describe what Lilburn is doing to monitor and reduce the development of anthelmintic resistance on their farms.
This meeting is an accredited CPD event for SQPs and has been awarded 16 CPD points by AMTRA.
Admission is free and open to all. For further information please contact Maggie Bennett or Hazel Rice on 0131 445 5111 or email info@moredun.org.uk
